Gattas Co., a catalog and showroom business located on S. Main St. in Downtown Memphis, TN. Along with his brothers and sisters, James grew up working right alongside his father in the store. It was there that the Gattas children learned and grew their family business, providing a level of customer service that would be recognized and revered throughout the city for generations to come. After closing doors in 1996, James continued the family tradition and opened James Gattas Jewelers on Poplar Avenue in an area that is now commonly referred to as the Memphis Diamond District. James Gattas Jewelers carries on its family tradition, employing James's wife, Linda, his son, James Jr. (Jay), his nephew, Philip, and his daughter, Camille.
